Transforming the Web and Learning Experience for Ontario’s Leading Police Governance Body

The Challenge

The Police Governance Board of Ontario (PGO) supports members across the province with governance resources, training, events, and tools designed to help boards fulfill their responsibilities.

As the organization grew and evolved, members needed a more centralized and intuitive way to access information. Resources, training materials, events, and member-specific content were spread across multiple systems, making it difficult to navigate and creating friction in the overall member experience.

At the same time, PGO had recently updated its brand and needed a digital presence that better reflected the organization while supporting how members access and engage with information.

The goal was to create a clearer, more functional digital experience that centralized governance resources, training, events, and member tools while improving usability and aligning with the updated brand.

The Solution

We partnered with the Police Governance Board of Ontario to completely redesign their website, focusing on usability, structure, and long term scalability to improve how members access and interact with resources, training, and events.

Key components included:

The Impact

The Police Governance Board of Ontario now operates with a digital platform designed around how board members access information, not just how it is stored.

Beyond the launch, the organization now benefits from:

A clearer and easier to navigate website

A website more reflective of the updated brand

A website built to improve access to governance resources, training, and events

A platform built to support ongoing improvements and expansion

Centralized access to governance resources, training, events, and member tools

A more structured and maintainable website

Together, the website and member portal created a clearer, more organized experience for members while giving the organization a stronger foundation for future growth.

“This has been a significant piece of work behind the scenes, not just a visual update, but a full rethink of how governance tools, resources, and information are structured and accessed by our members.

The project evolved as we went, timelines were tight, and there were a lot of detailed discussions to get the structure right.

The result is a site that is clearer, more functional, and better aligned with how our members actually need to use it.”
